About OlveyPhotoDesign

OlveyPhotoDesign is currently in its third version. I started this website as a learning tool in developing my skills in Web Design and Programming. I believe that you need to be able to program the design you want. What this does is anchor your designs in solid, programmable skills. Check out Version 1 and Version 2 here.

About Benjamin,

Thomas and BenI’ve been a photographer for the past 19 years since high school. I joined the U.S. Navy shortly after H.S. as a Photographer’s Mate. Over the last seventeen years I have been promoted to Chief Petty Officer. Over those years I have seen the face of photography change from traditional black and white and color darkrooms to a 100 percent digital workstation.

Experience is the number one thing that I have gained from the military, from basic computer skills and photography to managing and supplying a photo lab. Hopefully, my portfolio shows the knowledge that the military has given me.

I have experimented in Web Design in the past, but it’s only been recently that I have devoted a lot of my free time to improving my skills.

My personal life evolves around my wife Beth and our son Thomas. Being in the military has kept me away for extended periods and so when I’m home, I’m home and they are my number one priority.
